An earthquake
of around magnitude of 7.2 hits Tajikistan at 8:37am (0037 GMT) on today at a
depth of 10 km (6 miles), Chinese state television CCTV reported,
citing the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The origin is about 82 km nearest from China
border and was powerfully stroked in some areas in
China's western Xinjiang region, including Artux and
Kashgar, CCTV reported.
However, no causalities are reported so far.
Electricity and communication supply remained regular in Kashgar, state media Xinhua reported.
